This artwork, titled "Thétis," is a prime example of the transition from flat mural tapestries to sculptural ones during the "Formas Tecidas (Woven Forms)" movement. Created by Jacques Douchez (1921-2012), a French artist based in São Paulo, Brazil, the tapestry is made of wool and features geometric and abstract motifs with slits. It was produced using manual looms at the Douchez-Nicola workshop (1959-1980) of tapestry and is signed by the artist in the lower left corner.
