A rare vessel modelled as a mythical being with animal face, stepped banded headgear, chequered wings and front panel, crescent pectoral pendant, holding a club and severed head in each hand, showing strong Tihuanaco (Huari) influence.

One of the most striking features of this vessel is the animal face that dominates the frontal aspect of the figure. The animal face is skillfully rendered, revealing intricate facial details such as eyes, nose, and mouth. This animal symbolism may signify a particular deity or spirit revered by the culture, possibly associated with nature or the cosmos.

The vessel's wings are a visual marvel, characterized by a distinctive chequered pattern. These wings evoke a sense of dynamic energy and movement, further emphasizing the supernatural nature of this being. The chequered pattern might hold symbolic significance, possibly representing a connection between the earthly and celestial realms.

Cf. a similar vessel from the Tihuanaco period found at Batan Grande, Lambayeque valley, Sawyer, 1968, p.67, no.534
