This powerful Moche ceramic is a fully hallucinogenic imagery associatedwith a set of universal and redundant sensory phenomena which ofteninclude the appearance of anthropomorphic and zoomorphic images offish, birds and felines. These are most probably resulting from drugintoxication, a ritual commonly associated with Moche shamans inorder to achieve ecstatic communion with their spirits.
