Norberto Nicola’s “Untitled” (1959-1980) is a significant example of the initial shift from flat wall hangings to sculptural and three-dimensional works, created as part of the "Formas Tecidas (Woven Forms)" series. This tapestry was made by the renowned Atelier Douchez-Nicola, utilising wool and vegetable fibers on a handloom, and bears the artist's signature. The artwork features slits and strips that are passed through tubes covered with wool, giving it a unique structure that refers to a standard. It has a predominantly orange coloured background, with woven strips of varying nuances and color details erupting side by side.
